THAW: TREmor for Health And Wholeness

An Introductory TRE® (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises) Intensive Workshop

THAW is a day-long introductory workshop providing a theoretical and experiential overview of the TRE® (Tension and Trauma Release Exercise) process. This workshop will give participants a firm foundation of the TREmor process and participants will learn the tools to begin developing their own TREmoring practice.

TRE® (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises) is a revolutionary and innovative series of movements that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma symptoms. Created by Dr. David Berceli, PhD, TRE® safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system. When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance.

TRE® is based on the fundamental idea, backed by recent research, that stress, tension and trauma is both psychological and physical. TRE®’s reflexive muscle vibrations generally feel pleasant and soothing. Some have even reported the TREmoring process as a deeply spiritual experience.

After doing TRE®, people report:

*Feelings of peace and well-being

*Less worry & anxiety

*Reduces symptoms of trauma

*More energy & endurance

*Improved relationships

*Less workplace stress

*Better sleep

*Less relationship conflict

*Reduced muscle & back pain

*Increased flexibility

*Greater emotional resiliency

*Decreases symptoms of vicarious trauma

*Healing of old injuries

*Lessened anxiety surrounding serious illness

*Relief from chronic medical conditions

Note: This workshop is not a substitute for therapy or counseling and though it is experiential and discussion-based, it is not designed for verbally processing the specific details of traumatic material.

Content covered in the workshop:

- Nervous System 101: Basic physiology of the stress response

- An understanding of the nervous system and the vagus nerve

- The 6 F’s: The body’s natural protection and safety responses

- Containment & Discharge: An examination of recovery responses

- Interoception and Exteroception: The role of regulation

- Discover and learn the 7 TRE exercises to awaken the restorative neurogenic tremor mechanism

- Engage in Self-Induced Therapeutic Tremors (SITTs) as a regulation and release tool

-Discussion and experiential activities for deepening, integration and settling of the TREmoring process in the body

This workshop is open to the general public, including wellness practitioners and mental health providers. It is appropriate for those new to TREmoring and those already engaging in the TRE process who desire a deeper dive.
